The rear spring has snapped / needs replacing

Modified on Tue, 15 Jul at 10:24 AM

If you find it hard to lift your swing press or your heat plate lifts at an angle, you may find that the spring at the back of the heat plate has snapped or come loose.

Replacing the spring can help lift the back of the heat plate up as you raise the handle; helping it to lift level and easier.

The rear spring on a BETA swing press is referred to as XPSPRING / BMC346 [16 in the exploded diagram]. It is secured using a spring hook (XP7019SE / BMC477) [18 in the exploded diagram] and a long bolt (XP7006BOLT) [66 in the exploded diagram].

To find the parts, you can view the exploded part diagram.
